CPR classes are available at WFRD
The pre-hospital medical care provided by the Woodstock Fire Rescue District and local health systems is outstanding, but we need your help! The American Heart Association states that only one-third of sudden cardiac arrest victims receive bystander cardio-pulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and a strong majority of Americans do not even know what an automated external defibrillator (AED) is.
Here in Woodstock, we offer American Heart Association CPR classes for the community, businesses and healthcare providers. In each class, our instructors teach when and how to perform CPR, why it is important and how to use an AED. Remember that sudden cardiac arrest can happen to anyone, anywhere. When it is your opportunity to save a life, will you be ready?

Heartsaver CPR Course (Heartsaver CPR)

Heartsaver First Aid Course (Adult First Aid)
Note: CPR NOT INCLUDED
Time: 800-1200 (8am to 12pm) Location: WFRD Station #3 2900 N. Raffel Road, Woodstock, IL 60098 Cost: $35 (includes class cost and materials) Prerequisites: none Class Details:- Identification of Emergencies
- Medical Emergencies
- Injury Emergencies
- Environmental Emergencies
- Meets OSHA/IDOL workplace requirements.
Healthcare Provider Renewal Course (HCP Renewal)
Time: 1900-2200 (7pm to 10pm) Location: WFRD Station #3 2900 N. Raffel Road, Woodstock, IL 60098 Cost: $35 (includes class cost and materials) Prerequisites: Current (non-expired) American Heart Association Healthcare Provider Card (please bring with when payment is made for verification) Class Details:- Adult and Pediatric CPR
- One-Rescuer & Two-Rescuer CPR
- Recue Breathing
- Use of the bag-valve mask
- Foreign-body airway obstruction (conscious and unconscious)
- AED (includes child AED)

Healthcare Provider Course (HCP Full)
